This wall rack consists of 2 black metal side supports and 4 adjustable metal shelves in orange, red, black and mustard yellow.
It was designed in 1958 by Adriaan Dekker for TOMADO Holland and it is still a very beloved object.
The Dutch designer Adriaan Dekker made designs for, among others, furniture factory Pastoe and Tomado, the manufacturer of household products. At Pastoe, Adriaan Dekker worked in the 1950s with Cees Braakman, among others, who designed the wire-steel chairs. In 1958, Adriaan Dekker designed a bookshelf made of wire steel and colored sheet steel for Tomado. The original design from 1958 by Adriaan Dekker hangs in the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.
