The quality is outstanding, this has beautiful lines and looks amazing from all angles. The solid birch frame has a gorgeous colour tone and lovely grain patterns, with exposed biscuit joints at the corners. The light wood tones contrast nicely with the ebonised steel frame. The back rest can swivel up, to increase the depth of the seating area when it needs to be used as a bed.
The condition is excellent for its age, we have had the frame stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, this has also been fully re-upholstered in a cream boucle fabric. The seat base beneath the cushion is very well sprung with steel coil springs.
