This is a fantastic English set of eight antique William IV barback dining chairs, circa 1830 in date. The set comprising two armchairs and six sidechairs with marquetry inlaid shaped top rails of foliate design, and scroll turned back splats with roundels above drop in seats that have been reupholstered in a striking olive green velvet, and raised on ring turned legs. These chairs have been masterfully crafted in beautiful Gonçalo Alves throughout and the finish and attention to detail on display are truly breathtaking.
