This rare easy chair is attributed to designer Rainer Schell for Franz Schlapp in Germany in the 1970’s. He designed also the Canto chair that looks very reminiscent of this one. With the Canto chair, the leather seating is attached to the armrests, where here it is not. The saddle leather is also of a thick quality and the finger joints on the ash frame show a nice attention to detail. Some patina and using marks on the leather, further in good vintage condition, as shown in the pictures.
