Six extendable table tops in Formica and Dili ebonized Irokko wood with a frame from solid ebonized Irokko wood. Each table top has a black and white top and the different slots allow various combinations adjusting this table to various living or working situations. The previous owner for example found it perfect as a desk with several extensions for office equipment.
This is the highly sought-after early dining table edition has a height of 72 cm and is more rare than the coffee table version.
The table offered here is an early and original Bellato table. The manufacturer ‘Bellato’ ceased to exist in the 1980s and this design later was sold to ‘Sculptures Jeux’.
Bernard Vuarnesson has a degree in engineering from the Ecole Supérieure du Bois (University of Wood) and a degree in civil engineering from the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers de Paris. His designs of the PAR6 and Hexa tables are his most important contribution to furniture design.
This table is in good vintage condition appropriate to its age and use, with few scratches, so slight signs of use.
