Pamono Chair attributed to Josef Hoffmann for Wiener Werkstätte, 1903 Clearance

This rare chair comes from the estate of a Viennese antiques dealer. He acquired it in the 1970s with the provenance statement that this chair came from the Villa Brauner (Geweygasse 11, Hohe Warte) – and thus from the early phase of the Wiener Werkstätte.

A slight modification of this chair was also exhibited in the Wiener Werkstätte showrooms on Neustiftgasse.

The design language clearly refers to Josef Hoffmann and the Wiener Werkstätte.
