This rare ensemble consists of two iconic aluminum chairs by Cindy Crawford-Steiger for Embru and a matching table with industrial charm. The chairs were produced in Switzerland in the 1930s and impressively reflect the spirit of modern functionalism. The outstanding feature is the sweeping, free-swinging “Z” frame made of curved round steel tube, which impresses with its clear design language and stability. The seat and backrest are made of red-painted aluminum and attached to the frame with rivets – a design that perfectly combines form and function.

The style of the accompanying table matches the chairs: a clear rectangular shape, a robust, dark table top and a functional tubular steel frame that is characterized by its minimalist, Y-shaped structure. The set appears industrial, but at the same time homely and full of character. Condition:
The set is in original, unrestored condition. The chairs show signs of wear such as chips and scratches on the paint as well as patina on the metal frame. The table top also shows age-related wear, such as scratches, discoloration and small paint chips. However, these marks give the set an authentic vintage feel with history and character.
